As a leading importer, wholesaler, and distributor of Asian food products in North America, Wismettac Group found itself in an extremely competitive real estate market when it needed to expand. They required a new environmentally controlled distribution center. Through collaboration and the Progressive Design-Build approach, they have a new facility with a 25,000-square-foot freezer constructed as a single concrete slab. This innovative design is North America’s largest joint-free slab system in a forklift-operated freezer and allows significant efficiencies over traditional multi-joint slabs.
